Louise Putman, REcreate Interiors, qualified architectural interior designer

Louise putman BA(Hons)

I gained a BA(Hons) degree in Interior Architecture and Furniture, from Middlesex University, London. As part of this I  studied interior space, furniture and product design at L’ENSCI Les Atelier in Paris, where world renowned designer Philippe Starck was, at that time, a tutor.

Following graduation, my career started at the BBC in set design in the then evolved in to commercial interior design at several leading multi-disciplinary architectural design consultancies in London, including BDP and Sheppard Robson. The experience I gained during these years was invaluable working with clients AELTCC, Nike, Nokia and other big business moved to head up the design studio at multinational property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield where I worked closely with the fit-out project management team. in 2009, after 16 years working in London, I moved to Tunbridge Wells and  launched REcreate Design & Project Management.

I work hard to ensure that the interior spaces I create reflect the personality, needs and style of my clients. They showcase clients’ personal objects and enrich the architecture of the space they live in. I create  relaxed interiors with classic, simple Scandi designs and contemporary styles.

I steer clear of brash or overly designed  ‘fashionable’ spaces, preferring durable, simple and understated luxury which will stand the test of time.
