Gain back space

A recent client needed a few quick pointers to update her living room, which the family never used due to the amount of clutter and storage boxes. It had become a bit of a dumping ground, and she didn’t know where to start. With a very tight budget and limited time, we set to work.

First, the room was fully emptied, decluttered, and given a deep clean. MDF shelving was installed in the alcoves above the existing built-in low-level cabinets, and everything received a fresh coat of paint. We chose a wallpaper that was on a 50% sale, adding it above the panelling and between the alcove shelves.

The existing furniture was fine to reuse, but we put back fewer pieces, arranging all the family books on the new shelves and storing family board games in the cupboards.

They have gained an entire room in the house back! The living room is now an inviting space the family can relax in and enjoy using together.
